Home of the Sonic Euphoria PLC Passive Line Controller

Excerpts from Recent Reviews:

Stereophile

Here is part of what Brian Damkroger thought of the PLC in the January 2006 issue of Stereophile:

"I didn't accommodate or 'workaround' the PLC in any way, or try to assemble an appropriately priced system around it. I just dropped it into setups in which the only components anywhere near its price were power cords and equipment footers - and those setups didn't miss a beat. I just cued up the next record, sat down to enjoy the music, and didn't give the PLC another thought. If that's not a solid-gold recommendation, I don't know what is." - Brian Damkroger, Stereophile January 2006

In the February 2006 followup, Art Dudely had these comments:

"The PLC ($1295 single-ended, $1995 balanced) was every bit as good as my Fi Preamp ($5000) in its steadfast refusal to distort pitch relationships and the subtleties of musical timing. Musical flow and momentum were seriously good. And it did all that with absolutely no dynamic compression, and no bass attenuation that I could detect - two things that make the PLC so much better than every other passive pre I've tried in my own system." -Art Dudley, Stereophile, February 2006

Martin DeWulf of Bound for Sound's great review Here:

"There is absolutely nothing about the exterior of the PLC that would explain why or how this unit sounds more transparent, and less musically intrusive than any unit I’ve used or heard in my life as an audiophile - active or passive."

Michael Wright of Stereo Times review Here:

"Please, whatever you do, do not think of this as just some overachieving $1,200 preamp because if you do, you’ll be cheating yourself big time. In fact, don’t even think about price when reading my description of the sound of the preamp. Friends who came by and listened to the PLC while I was evaluating it guessed prices anywhere from $3,000-$6,000. So let’s just say that it sounds like it’s worth far more than it actually cost. Actually, I did get a kick out of the sheepish grins and looks of amazement when I told them the price."

Jim Merod of On Sound and Music review Here:

"It has no electronic veil or sheen and so it gets out of the way of the sound and music to let audio speak directly to you... a wonderful box with a big heart" ---- Jim Merod / Bluport Jazz

Transparency & Low-Level Dynamics in the passive preamplifier category

Sandy Greene of Dagogo shared these observations:

"The Sonic Euphoria PLC has definitely put me closer to my music.  It has the linearity, the palatable texture, the dynamic impact, the bass slam, the real-life air, but most importantly the feel and energy of real music… real good music.  I’ve had my Rogue equipment for years now.  The Rogue stuff is really good...excellent actually.  The desire to change my set up has never crept into my consciousness before.  The Sonic Euphoria PLC has me thinking and thinking hard. To me it’s a real fine piece, from construction through customer support, through the most important bit: musicality."

The Sonic Euphoria PLC wins Product of the Year Award from VideoHIFI Magazine!! See the review Here (in Italian). Thanks to Francesco Bollorino for his great review.
